The interviewer gets interviewed

I’ve spent an awful lot of time interviewing artists over the last 30-plus years, so it’s always interesting to be on the other side, fielding questions about my own music.

An interview for a local publication in advance of our recent show in Plattsburgh, New York, unexpectedly turned into a deep dive into my life as a musician and writer/editor going all the way to my teen years. The author, Benjamin Pomerance, asked so many surprising questions and wrote so thoughtfully.

If you’re curious to learn more about my experiences meeting Paul Simon, starting Acoustic Guitar magazine, writing my John Lennon Songwriting Contest winner “Fly,” and much more, dig in.
