In this episode of Guitar Sessions, learn how to play Jason Isbell’s lovely, wistful song “Strawberry Woman,” recorded on his album Weathervanes and also on Live from the Ryman, Vol. 2.
“Strawberry Woman” is a simple song in many ways but uses an unusual metrical pattern that alternates between 3/4 and 4/4, as I demonstrate in the video. At the 7:00 mark, I perform a full version of the song.
