Jeffrey Pepper Rodgers has been writing professionally since 1986, when as an
undergraduate at Brown University he published his first book review in the San
Francisco Chronicle. He became a regular critic for the Chronicle while
reporting for various publications on everything from new-age clothing to poetry
billboards to small-town California agriculture to Type A behavior counseling. His
interests in writing and music merged with the founding of Acoustic
Guitar magazine in the late '80s, and he has since published hundreds of articles
and three books on the contemporary music scene. Recent projects include reports for NPR's All Things Considered and articles
for Mojo and Travel + Leisure Family magazines. Rodgers' work is syndicated
internationally through Featurewell.com.
